So, lets introduce: I am Thomas Steffen, brown/blue, 21, and I study Electrical Engineering in Ilmenau*, Thuringia, with specialization in Automation and Control*. Currently, I am on a year abroad in Manchester*, doing Electronics Systems Engineering* at UMIST*.

I have a whole bunch of interests, but lets start with

classical guitar

concentrating on 17th and 19th century music, as well as some modern pieces.

reading

world literature, modern drama, philosophical texts, Shakespeare, die Zeit* and different stuff.

computers

yes, of course, since the age of 8. Apple II, CPC664, PC with DOS, Windows, and now Linux, running night and day!

electronics

devices like simple computer, battery chargers, sound effects and amplifiers are in danger--I would just like to see how other people design these things.
